Prayagraj (VNFA/BBC - India/Vishwavani Samachar) All India Agni Shikha Manch organized a women's empowerment, poetry reading, and felicitation ceremony on International Women's Day.
Under the joint aegis of All India Agni Shikha Manch and Women's Rights Organization, the International Women's Day celebration was held at Tapovan Park, Prayagraj.
Former MP Mrs. Kesari Devi Patel was the chief guest, while special guests included Mrs. Geeta Vishwakarma, Member, State Women's Commission, Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Sonia Singh (Director, Narayan Swaroop Hospital), Manju Pathak, Vijay Laxmi Vibha, Shyam Sundar Singh Patel, etc. The function was presided over by Manas Singh and conducted by Dr. Rashmi Shukla and coordinated by Shyam Sundar Singh Patel, Neelima Upadhyay etc. The program started with garlanding the picture of Maa Saraswati and lighting the lamp, Saraswati Vandana, after that the guests on the stage were honored and everyone was welcomed with a welcome song. On this occasion, the patron of the organization Shyam Sundar Singh Patel said in his welcome speech that Agni Shikha Manch is a national organization which works for the educational, economic, social and political development of women and for their empowerment, self-reliance, security and protection. In this context, International Women's Day celebrations are being held in which along with discussions on women empowerment, poetry recitation, cultural programs, 251 women were honored for their excellent work in social service and national service. In the poetry recitation, poetess Kirti Jaiswal of Prayagraj recited her poem - Fish is flying today. In it, he described the fish as a symbol of women and recited the lines, "The fish is flying today with its wings spread in the sky, dreams have been realized, the fish is moving today." In addition, Dr. Sneh Sudha, Neelima Upadhyay, Pushpa Srivastava, Rachna, etc. read their compositions on women's empowerment.
On this occasion, former MP Kesari Devi Patel, while giving her virtual greetings, said that women have always been empowered and now they are ahead in every field. She stressed on the need for such events in rural areas. Special guest Dr. Sonia, while felicitating everyone, expressed her happiness and said that the Honorable Prime Minister and Chief Minister are working on many welfare schemes for the development of women and to make them self-reliant. The sisters are getting the benefit of this and women are getting empowered and moving towards self-reliance. Other guests also expressed their views. National President Dr. Alka Pandey sent her heartfelt greetings virtually from All India Agni Shikha Manch Mumbai. In the end, Patron Shyam Sundar Singh Patel thanked everyone with the national anthem Bharat Mata Ki Jai.
