The oath-taking ceremony for the elected office bearers and members of the Indian Advocates Association, an advocates' organization, was held today as scheduled at the Singh Niketan, Jeevandeep Charitable Trust Complex Auditorium (near Singh Medical & Surgical Center) in Maldahiya, Varanasi.
It is noteworthy that the election for the elected office bearers and members of the association was held in January 2026.
The following office bearers were sworn in:
Central President - Dr. Arvind Gandhi, Advocate; Senior Vice President - Taraknath Ganguly Advocate, Vice President - Shashi Verma Advocate, General Secretary - Rakesh Kumar Gupta Advocate, Minister - Rajan Kumar Advocate, Joint Ministers - Pawan Kumar Vishwakarma Advocate, Akhilesh Kumar Advocate, Treasurer - Rajkumar Yadav Advocate, and Mr. Harish Ji Advocate, Baldau Advocate, and Dr. Sultan Khan Advocate were elected as members of the Managing Committee. Their oath-taking ceremony was held today as per the pre-scheduled programme.
The oath-taking ceremony for the elected office bearers and members was administered by the Chief Guest, Senior Advocate Mr. Harishankar Singh, Member and Former Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Bar Council.
A large number of advocates were present on this occasion, including Mr. Vinod Kumar Pandey, Member of the Uttar Pradesh Bar Council, as the special guest.
Addressing the advocates associated with the Indian Advocates Association after the oath-taking ceremony, Mr. Harishankar Singh, Member and Former Chairman of the Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh, who was present as the Chief Guest at the oath-taking ceremony for the elected office bearers and members of the Association, said That the advocates will perform their duties in the courts while maintaining the dignity of the Bar and the Bench and will do every work as per the objectives of the Association because the advocates themselves are the dignity of the Bar and the Bench. And he also expressed hope that the Indian Advocates Association and its office bearers will work in the interest of the advocates and will also take care to protect the interests of the litigants so that people's unwavering faith in the justice system remains intact.
The function was presided over by Dr. Ram Avtar Pandey, former President of the Central Bar Association.
On this occasion, advocates including Mr. Arvind Kumar Rai, Abhishek Rai, Dilip Kumar Srivastava, Gyanendra Nath Sharma, Jawahar Lal Gupta, Subhash Nandan Chaturvedi and a large number of advocates were present.
