Varanasi. Mr. Anup Mishra, a 40-year-old young officer from Amethi, PCS cadre of Finance and Accounts Service, has been appointed by the Uttar Pradesh government as Assistant Registrar in Societies, Firms and Chits of the division.
Mr. Mishra has assumed his charge as Assistant Registrar, Societies, Firms and Chits, Varanasi on 19 June 2025 at the office located in Varanasi.
Shri Mishra started his career in government service as an Accounts Officer in Pension Office Varanasi and before this Shri Mishra has served as an Accounts Officer in the office of District Basic Education Officer, Varanasi and also as an Accounts Officer in ICDS Office, Lucknow. He is an efficient and honest officer.

Question: There is talk of you having an honest image, what is your comment on this?
Answer: I have resolved to work according to rules and honesty and I have worked honestly and will continue to work according to rules and with full honesty.
Question: What will be your role and outline in the functioning of this office?
Answer: My simple principle is that everyone should get justice and everyone should be satisfied, this is our honesty and dedication towards work.
Question: Your office has always been surrounded by controversies, what would you say on this?
Answer: I will try my best to ensure that the office does not get afflicted with controversies.
Question: What plan do you have to curb corruption?
Answer: If such a case comes to light, I will take strict action with a strict decision, no person will be spared in this.
Question: Your office has always been in the news for corruption, what is your comment on this?
Answer: If anyone ever commits an act of corruption during my tenure in our office, we will take strict and stern action against him.
Question: What will you say on the question of some employees being directly involved in corruption and the sting operation and the letter sent to the government a few days ago for action against them?
Answer: I do not know about it, but my position is clear and open that such an act will not be tolerated at all.
Question: Why and under which act does your office issue the stamp of unregistered on the verified copy of any file?
Answer: I do not have much information on this right now, I will consider if such a case comes up.
Question: What is the time limit for the process of renewal and registration?
Answer: A total period of 30 days is prescribed in the Act, work will be done as per the rules and it will also be disposed of.
Question: At what level will the disputed file be disposed of and what process will be adopted for it?
Answer: The disputed file will be disposed of on the basis of its merits and demerits and as per the rules.
