Under the aegis of the All India United Vishwakarma Shilpkar Mahasabha, a memorial service and a national unity seminar were held in New Delhi in memory of the seventh President of the country, Giani Zail Singh. Tributes were paid to Giani Zail Singh at his Samadhi Ekta Sthal at Rajghat. Following this, a national unity lecture was held at the Vishwakarma Temple in Paharganj. The Mahasabha's national president, Ashok Vishwakarma, shared memories of Giani Singh and said that Giani Singh never compromised on his principles throughout his life.
He stated that his personality was imbued with religious values, that he fought against slavery, and endured torture and was imprisoned numerous times. As a result, his name became synonymous with jail, meaning Jail Singh, and he became known as Jail Singh, although his real name was Jarnail Singh. Gianiji advocated for the development of the exploited and deprived sections of society, as well as for granting them political, economic, administrative, and judicial rights.
Maha Sabha National President Ashok Vishwakarma stated that disunity is a curse for the all-round development of society; only social awareness and organized strength will realize the dreams of great men.
He stated that the Mahasabha is working towards forming a national grand alliance by coordinating socially representative organizations on issues and ideas for strong unity and participation at the national level, the call for which has been sounded from the national capital, Delhi.
Expressing his views in the lecture, Sardar Inderjit Singh, grandson of Giani Zail Singh, emphasized the need for unity among all Vishwakarma clan members for political participation and all-round development, calling for unity.
The chief guest of the function, Dr. Anil Jai Hind, National President of All India Congress Committee OBC Department, said that Giani Zail Singh's rise to the post of President is a miracle of the rights given in the Constitution and said that Giani ji's dream was that the light of power should reach the poor and weaker sections of the society.
All India Congress Committee Scheduled Caste Department President and former Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam said that Vishwakarma community has an important contribution in the development of the country and society, but unfortunately the people of this community have not got their legitimate rights and the people of this community are still victims of discrimination.

He said that the people of the society will have to fight unitedly for equality and social justice. Thousands of people were present including him.
